
James Paikos currently focuses his practice on civil litigation, criminal defense, and estate planning and has had considerable experience in creditors’ rights, immigration, real estate transaction work, family law litigation, and bankruptcy.
Mr. Paikos was born in Lynn, Massachusetts. Before joining Gallagher & Cavanaugh, Mr. Paikos served as a Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General from 1998 to 2001, prosecuting white-collar crimes, including insurance and unemployment fraud. From 2001 to 2003, he was an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County where he conducted over fifty jury trials. In 2003, he was appointed supervisor of the Framingham Jury Session and also served as a Special District Attorney for Suffolk County. He has also worked as an associate at the Boston law firms of Daniels Offices, P.C. and Regan Associates Chartered, P.C. Mr. Paikos’ private firm experience has been diverse and included civil litigation, creditors’ rights, criminal defense, estate planning, probate work, immigration, real estate transaction work, family law litigation, and bankruptcy.
